Dub Dub

Here’s what Sarah wote about what we got up to on my last weekend in Dingley Village.

On Friday Dub Dub came to my house for a sleepover. We got home and then had something to eat after that we went to the park. We went home because it was time for dinner. We had noodles. After dinner I had a shower and went to bed.
In the morning we went out for breakfast.
Dub Dub didn’t want any thing so he stayed home. We came home and we played on my skateboard then nana picked us up for a sleepover.
Dub Dub, Luke and I were so exited. We got to Berwick and played out side my nana and pa’s house. Then we watched school of rock.         
  At dinner time we had a roast. In the morning we had breakfast then Dub Dub and I went to the park. We played football and then went for a walk after that we went back to nanas house. We practiced netball and then we went back to my house.
 Tomorrow is the House Sports so I will have a chance to see all the children in Grades 3 – 6 run in lots of different races. That should be fun. Sarah has promised to take me so I know I will be safe.

                         

And then on Wednesday I will be saying goodbye to all my friends at Dingley before I head off to Dingee. We are going to have a Teddy bear’s picnic. I am not sure what that means but I think there will be lots of other bears there as well.

You will hear from me hopefully early next term when I have had a chance to meet my new friends who I know will take care of me just as well as you have.

Dub DUb

My time at Dingley is quickly coming to a close. I have two weeks left, so I need to make the most of the time I have left.
I know the House Sports are coming up and the Grade are organizing something special for the last week of term before I head off to Dingee, to meet the students there.  But for now I must let Taylah S tell you what we got up to on the weekend.

 

On Friday Dub Dub came over for the weekend. He came home to meet my family. We got home and played with my cat then he had a piggy back on my dog. It was fun. We then had a bounce on my  trampoline “bounce, bounce bounce.” Dub Dub escaped. I ran back in side. He was putting the cooler on the cat, then I decided to take the cat for a walk. Then we  came in to watch roller  coaster. We had diner and went to bed. On the next day, I got up and changed and set off for school.
 

The other Taylah is taking me home tonight.

It can be a bit confusing at times, but I seem to have managed. Here’s what she wrote in her diary:
The first thing Dub Dub and I did was walk home. Then we got home and had something to eat.  Then we watched TV.  At five we went to drama.  My drama teacher would not let Dub Dub join in, so he sat on the chair.  Then we went home and had dinner.  We watch TV and went to bed. 
 

Another day. Today is Tuesday and it means Art and music for the children. I get time to myself, time to think about all the things that I have done over the last weeks. Only a few more homestays and my time will be up.
 

Priyanka is taking me home tonight.I watched her as she wrote in her diary. This is what she had to say.
 

When we got home Dub Dub and I sat down watching television. Then we sat down and we did my homework and we did a activity book related to snow. I had this book which I do drawings in it, then Dub Dub  and I did drawings in it.
 

The last two nights I visited Tyler and Christina. I have stayed at their place before so they were allowed to simply spend time with me which was great. Today is now Friday and I will be going home with Sarah.
Monday she will get a chance to type up her diary so you will have to wait until then to see what we got up to.

 

Christina’s turn tonightLast night I took  Dub Dub home. After school Dub Dub and I played on my Tamagotchi. After that we had a bath. Then we ate dinner. After dinner Dub Dub watched me do extra homework. After that I was drawing Dub Dub. Then we watched T.V. After that at 10.04 we went to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be another day.
 Aaron has been waiting for what seems like weeks to take me home. So here goes
 

I wonder what we will do. He is always on the go!
Here’s what he wrote about our time together.
 

When we got to the golf course, I put Dub Dub in the golf bag and teed off. At the end I came 1^st, when I got home I done some homework and then had play time we played hide and seek then had some biscuits in milk. I took some photos and went to bed. In the morning I took some more photos. Then I put him in the baby seat and went to school.  
        
Whose turn is it now to take me home tonight?
 

It’s Nalin’s turn.  He is always on the go.
I wonder what we will get up to???
 

When we got home me and Dub Dub played car’s. And then we watched some TV.
Then we went to pick up Alice from footy helped me beat a game onps1. Then we watched some TV.
Then he watched me do a backflip on the trampoline.
I had my shower and then we had dinner.
We had veges, potato and crumbed cutlets. After that we watched TV and then did teeth, toilet and bed

 Back at school and I am sitting with Sam at the moment. He is taking me home tonight. He is one of the quiet ones, but I am sure my stay will be fun.
This is what we got up to.
 

Thursday – Dub Dub and I had a great time together! After school, Mum, my sister, me and of course Dub Dub walked home to let Dub Dub
see the neighbourhood. When we got home, Dub Dub Dub had a sleep when I went out selling chocolates. Then Dub Dub, my sister and I all
sat down and watched a bit of TV. We had dinner, dessert and then bed.
Friday- I wake up in peace, so does Dub Dub.
It was time for Breakfast. We’re on our way to school. It’s time for Dub Dub to go back to school.

Another full day at school and I will be going home with Taylah tonight. 

 

 

When I last wrote to you I couldn’t work out what was going wrong with my photos. I am hoping that it will work this time. Here are some photos of Shane and his friend at the Tree Planting as our part in National Tree planting day.

Friday at school has come and gone. I have had such a busy week that I am looking forward to a rest. 

I hope Tyler will give me a chance to relax a little as I know next week is going to be just as hectic.

His diary will tell all !                
 

On Friday I took Dub Dub home for the weekend.
We went my grandma’s house because my auntie has just bought a house at the back of my grandma’s house.
We got home at 9:00 pm, and then we went to bed.
The next day we went to the city with my god mother. We went into heaps off different shops. We got home, had our dinner and went to bed.
 

Well another week over.
Monday has arrived and we have assembly.
The children sit quietly and listen to the House Captains who are running it.
 

 Today Mrs D. updated the roster so the children know who is taking me home each night for the rest of this month and half way into next month.

Tonight is Luke’s turn
Here is what he wrote in his diary when he got back to school the next day.
 

Before Dub Dub and I got home we went to my dad’s new house. He’s all ready moved in. We played slot cars.
When we got home we were playing Gamecube. We were playing Jeremy McGrath super motorbikes.
Dub Dub fell asleep while I was playing. He had wanted to watch any way. Later we were watching a movie
We watched Scooby-doo 1. I woke him up to watch it.
After that we watched some of Shark boy & Lava girl. Then we went to bed.
In the morning we watched Toasted TV. Then we went to school.
 

The day started with Art and Music. I wasn’t allowed to go to Art as I didn’t have an art smock. So I had to stay in the classroom.
The children remembered to take me outside to play. We even spent some time in the classroom next door before I headed for home with Georgia.            
Some of the children are disappointed about not having photos taken at home, but that does not matter. I will be happy as long as I get to have photo taken at school with them.
 

Here is what Georgia wrote about our time together.
Dub Dub and I went to my brother’s tutor and went to the supermarket. When we got home Dub Dub went on my electric scooter with me and my dog and dub dub played the piano. Dub Dub had tea and help we with my homework. In the morning Dub Dub and I had breakfast and got ready for school.
  
She made sure that I was back at school to help out with Tree Planting Day.
We are heading off later to plant trees at one of the local reserves. Hopefully someone will carry me and give me a chance to help out. We will have to wait and see.
 

Here is what Shane wrote about our part in National Tree Planting Day.
 

On Wednesday the 26^th July, Dub Dub went tree planting with 3D and 5T.
Lee, from the City of Kingston, explained how to plant the native shrubs and trees.

We had partners. Dub Dub went with Nalin and I. We all had fun. Dub Dub planted 2 plants. Dub Dub had lots of fun planting the shrubs and trees. 

Next we had to water them carefully. 

Then we walked all the way back to school. 

I was rather tired after another full day. I am not sure what is going on , but all of my pictures that Mrs D has taken of me with the children doing things don’t seem to be coming out properly.
When we sort this out I will have to put some extras in. Sorry.

 

 

My clothes are a little dirty, but that will not stop me going home with Tenille tonight. 
 

Here is what happened.

On Wednesday 26^th July I was excited to finally take Dub Dub home. When we got home we dropped our bags at home 

Then we went and showed dub 

Dub off to my cousins and my aunty’s house. 

Then we sat on the couch and watched T.V. until 8 30 pm and we went to bed. 

Back to school again. Another week has gone by. I can’t believe it. Ryan is ready to take me home. Let’s hope I get some rest! 

My Weekend with Dub Dub 

Dub Dub came to my house on the weekend. 

We went to Auskick on Saturday morning. After that we had lunch, then we went my sister’s Pee Wee tennis. 

On Sunday morning, I had a golf lesson with my coach John at Melbourne Golf Academy. Dub Dub came and watched me. 

Then he went for ride to Chadstone for Brody’s birthday party. So he had a busy weekend.

 

Today was going to be a special day.

We would be part of a multicultural incursion with performers from India, China, Brazil and Australia, with their music having an African background. 

We had multicultural infusion day Here is Sarah’s recall of everything that happened.
We had Australian break dancers, Brazil drumming, Natyalaya (Indian Dancers) and Lee Mohtaji. It was a very busy because Natyalaya and Australian break dancers had there dance in the church. Lee Mohtji was a Chinese Acrobat who did magic tricks instead of a dance .
We still enjoyed it.
The Australian break dancers were very good. Most of us danced In front of everyone. The Brazilian people did back flips in the air. It looked really hard.   
 

Another day has come. I can’t believe that nearly six weeks have gone since I escaped from that horrible building in the city. 

Lots of work today. Mrs. D is not around. Something about planning day for the rest of the year. 

Bailey is taking me home tonight. I wonder what we will get up to!
 

Here is what he wrote in his diary:
On Thursday I took Dub Dub home.
We had lots of fun doing Xbox, building Lego and jumping on the trampoline.
We went inside the we watched the Simpsons
After that we had dinner.  
  

I must have fallen asleep, for the bell for the end of the day has just gone. Shane has come over to pick me up and take me home. He put his beanie on my head so I wouldn’t get cold and we were off.

This is what he wrote in his diary.

When I got home from school Dub Dub meet my soft toy ‘Jackoon’. Then Dub Dub and I went outside and he found my Hockey stick.

My mum took some photos of him with it. I went to Hockey training. He stayed in the car!

I got home and saw my dad.

Dub Dub had dinner with us .He watched the Simpsons with Me.

He played with ‘Jackoon’ again.

Next we watched a show called Top Gears.

At 8 30 I got ready for bed.

In the morning Dub Dub and I had Breakfast. Then I got ready for School. Then I got in the car, and buckled him up. Mum drove us to school.

Shane bought me back to school.

We started off the day with Maths. The children were practicing for something called the AIM test.

It was all too complicated for me.

So I went off to sleep. Before I knew it the day was over and I was off home with Lachlan.

Here is what he wrote in his diary:

When we got out of school Dub Dub went to Ben’s house with me. At Ben’s house he went on the trampoline and we bounced Dub Dub on his head and tummy.

When I got home my little sister, Brianna, gave Dub Dub a big cuddle.

Dub Dub and I watched the wrestling and we wrestled the big teddy. Dub Dub won the match. Dub Dub is the cruiser weight champion of Dingley!

Tonight I am going home with Ryan W.

Let’s hope it is a quiet weekend.

I know I need a rest.

Our first day back after camp. Everybody seems rather tired.

Jamie is going to take me home tonight. I wonder what is in store for me.

Another quiet day as many of the children are still tired after camp. Hopefully after the weekend things will get back to normal.

Rachel has offered to take me home tonight for the weekend

Here is what she wrote about our time together.

DUB DUB

The first night with Dub Dub, we went on the trampoline. And we went to the park. Then I put Dub Dub with my other toys, because I had to go out.

On Saturday Dub Dub and I to Andy’s place. After that we went home. Dub Dub , mum and I were going to go horse riding.

It was all because of the rain. So it was cancelled.

On Sunday Dub Dub came to my nana’s with me for the afternoon, and my nana made him a scarf.

Back to school I came. Another fun filled day ahead – or so I thought.

I didn’t get much sleep last night. I think I will just sit here on the bookcase and watch what is going on.

If I have any energy I might join in, but we will see.

Some children have found me. They are in Grade 3. They have promised to look after me and will help me make a wish list of things I would like to do while I am here with them. They are going to share the responsibility of looking after me. I will go home with someone each night and will spend the day at school doing what they do. This will be fun! After such an exhausting day, just getting here, I think I will have a quiet night. Jarrod is taking me home tonight. I wonder what we will do. On Wednesday I took Dub Dub home.. We played with my stuffed toys. .We played soccer too. It was three all. We had snitzel for tea We had milo for breakfast. Jarrod bought me back to school in his back pack. I wonder if everyone carries their special friend around like this. I wonder what we will be doing today. What is this? We are moving to another room. It is a big room full of what the children call computers. Tonight I am going to Brody’s place. Brody is really keen on sport. This is the two of us before we leave for home.

Hi my name is Dub Dub. I escaped from the city , but I am not entirely sure where I am as yet. I am hoping to find some friends who will take me to different places and look after me.

I have arrived at a primary school in a place called Dingley Village. It is situated 28 kilometres south east of Melbourne. I you type in the following web address it will take to a map which show you where I am.

The school is situated on the corner of Marcus Road and Centre Dandenong Roads, Dingley Village.

Some of the children have found me and have promised to look after me for the next few months.

They are going to share the responsibility of looking after me. I will go home with someone each night and will spend the day at school doing whatever they do.
